Emily May Rose
Emily is an artist and illustrator based out of Toronto, as well as a recent graduate from OCAD University’s illustration program. At 22 years old, she has worked professionally in the field for two years, and has recently opened her own gallery space in Parkdale, Northern Contemporary, where she aims to focus on the incredible illustrative artists working in the city as well as internationally.
Heavily influenced by tattoo flash, vintage sign painting, and retro cartoons, Emily’s illustrations often include hand-lettering and a recurring cast of characters. Unwilling to stick to a single medium, Emily’s work appears in many formats such as editorial work, hand-painted signs, apparel designs, murals, installations and gallery settings. She has worked for a variety of clients including Cinelli, Subway, TIFF, and The City of Toronto.
She is a resident artist at 36 Chambers Collective in Parkdale.
