Tringa Rexhepi is an award-winning Kosovo-born pop artist and theatre actress.
Tringa was born in Gjilan, Kosovo, to artist/musician parents who is 1999 fled their war-torn home for Halifax, Nova Scotia, as refugees. Raised on a strict diet of 90's R&B, American Cartoons and a little bit of Shakespeare, Tringa was speaking and more importantly singing English in months. An active member of the east coast music scene and theatrical community, her work has garnered her numerous scholarships, which allowed her to study full time at both Sheridan's Musical Theatre Program and Cap21's Pro Program in New York.
As an actress, her highlights include: playing the title role of Kate in Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare by the Sea in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and currently starring as Woman 1 in the Segal Centre's production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.
As a vocalist, Tringa has had the privilege of providing back up vocals for multi-platinum selling recording artist Josh Groban during is most recent concert at the Air Canada Centre, as well as YouTube sensation Natalie Weiss. Tringa has performed internationally as a soloist in both English and Albanian and has been featured on CTV and CBC, who refered to her as "going places", as well as numerous media outlets worldwide.
Tringa has begun her transition into the pop scene with the debut of her self-titled EP, which was recorded at Desert Fish Studios with Sydney Galbraith and Juno award-winner Jeff Wolpert. She was recently chosen as Singers Universe's top 5 singers of the month and her EP has been featured on CBC music, AMBY, FYI and more.
